Be Part of the Solution

Our broken relationship with nature has made us at risk to global and pressing threats such as climate change and diseases. And the time for us to act towards healing this relationship and restoring the natural health of our ecosystems and all life forms in it is now.

#WeAreASEANBiodiversity. Our home. Our lives. Our stories. is the ACB's call for each and everyone’s earnest participation in an ambitious effort to save the planet and equally conserve biodiversity and humankind through restoration.

Although the ASEAN only takes up three per cent of the total area of the Earth, it is where almost 1/5 of all known plant and animal species can be found. We, the citizens of the ASEAN member states, have the responsibility of keeping the ecosystems of the ASEAN healthy and intact for us, the future generation, and the numerous wildlife species who call this region home.

Our survival depends on biodiversity. The rich natural resources of the ASEAN serve as the raw materials for our needs – food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. Each and every one of the ASEAN’s citizens must take an active role in keeping nature healthy as our lives depend on it.

Our lived experiences shape our understanding of biodiversity issues. Framing stories that reflect our innate connection with nature stimulate the crafting of solutions that respond to the challenge of biodiversity loss. Together, we can reclaim the biodiversity narrative through stories of how we can contribute to ecosystem restoration and promote the sustainable use of natural resources.

Let your story be heard, and encourage others to join the movement.
